2 cups elbow maccaroni
1 cup American cheese
1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1 can of peas
2/3 cup fried onions



1) Cook the macaroni and warm up the peas. Don't put lids on either.

2) Mix peas, macaroni and 2/3 of the cheese in the pot.

3) Spoon mixture into glass or ceramic baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

4) Sprinkle with fried onions and bake for 10-15 minutes under foil.

5) Remove foil, bake an additional 5 minutes.


Note: You can substitute any veggies you like for peas, or even add extras. But this is the "it's some of the last stuff in the house so let's make it work" version. :)
